On Friday (Sept. 6), Korn dropped the trailer for its new, fictionalized podcast "The Nothing" via the visualizer for their new single “Can You Hear Me.” The eerie track finds the band ruminating on loss and identity as visuals of cult imagery, pill bottles and a nervous journalist sitting down for an interview with a serene-looking bald man flash across the trailer.

“Can you hear me?/ Cuz I’m lost/ And I may never come back again/ And while my heart keeps holding on/ I know I’ll never be the same again,” frontman Jonathan Davis wails on the song’s haunting chorus.

Featuring a score by Davis, the six-episode series will tell the story of “a small town in Kansas that has seen its ills be solved at the hands of a charismatic commune leader and his devotees.” The podcast was co-written by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes (Hangman, Dark Island). “Can You Hear Me” follows lead single “You’ll Never Find Me” and “Cold” as the third track off Korn’s upcoming thirteenth studio album, also titled The Nothing.
