Adam Sandler Talks Convincing Adam Levine to Play His Daughter's Bat Mitzvah: Watch
Adam Sandler could be one of the world's coolest dads.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday (May 29) to promote his upcoming Netflix movie Murder Mystery, Sandler shared the story of how he snagged Maroon 5 for his daughter's bat mitzvah.
So how'd he do it? Sandler said he texted Adam Levine to see if he'd be willing to play the event, which took place last weekend.
"I don't know why I did it," the 52-year-old actor recalled. "Then you see the dot dot dot. Immediately, I'm like, 'Oh, he got it. He's about to say something.'"
Levine happily agreed to perform, and brought along Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine to play alongside him.
"They played three great songs," Sandler told Kimmel. "It was the coolest thing, man."
