Vampire Weekend's reign atop the Billboard 200 has ended, but there's still plenty of promotion in store for their new album Father Of the Bride. This morning (May 20) they shared the music video for their latest single, a cinematic journey into the Los Angeles desert featuring many old friends from the Vampire Weekend extended universe.

Directed by Emmett Malloy, the all-black-and-white "This Life" video follows frontman Ezra Koenig, guest vocalist Danielle Haim, and producer Ariel Rechtshaid on a road trip directed by Kyle Field, leader of the long-running indie rock band Little Wings. It's a self-discovery voyage for Field especially, as the gang travels to a Passover dinner out in the Palm Sprigs wilderness (it was actually filmed during Passover this year). There, they're joined by a host of others -- including Jovan Hill, Mark Ronson, Sophie, and Despot -- for a gathering that kind of recalls the wacky dinner table scene of VW's old "Diane Young" video.

As "This Life" takes over for "Harmony Hall" as Vampire Weekend's focal single, it's started to find its footing on radio. It currently sits at No. 20 on Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs chart, its peak position so far.

The new video was produced by Ari Schneiderman and Justin Cooper and edited by Ian McGee. Check it out below.
