Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine performs onstage during their ‘High As Hope Tour’ at Perth Arena on Jan. 12, 2019 in Perth, Australia.

"Moderation" is not the first word that comes to mind when you think of Florence Welch's booming, rafter-shaking vocals, but it's what she's singing about on a newly performed Florence + The Machine song.

The Welch-fronted band is currently touring Australia and New Zealand, and on a Saturday stop at Perth's RAC Arena, they debuted a never-before-heard song -- possibly titled "Moderation," if the repeated word is any indication. Florence + The Machine released their last album, High Hopes, in 2018, but with loads of tour dates lined up this year -- including a headlining slot at New York's Governors Ball -- the band might want some new music to play in the coming months.

The song obviously showcases Welch's aforementioned vocal prowess, with lyrics like “I never made it with moderation/ No, I never understood/ My feeling was all or nothing/ I took everything I could,” as the NME reports.
