The Smashing Pumpkins Release 'Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1' Album: Stream It Now

On Friday (Nov. 16), alternative rock vets The Smashing Pumpkins released their highly anticipated new album Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun. The eight-track project is the first in more than 18 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, along with with longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder.

The group released the tracks "Knights of Malta," "Solara" and "Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)" earlier in the year to build up excitement for the album.   

This release follows the wrap of their Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour. The band will launch their special 30th anniversary show in Madison, Wis., on Nov. 28 and hit cities including San Antonio, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles and more to finish out the year.
