Joan Jett and Michael J. Fox perform on stage at A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's benefitting The Michael J. Fox Foundation at the Hilton New York on Nov. 10, 2018.

Michael J. Fox joined rocker Joan Jett to perform at the A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's benefit gala in New York City on Saturday (Nov. 10). (Light of Day reunion, anyone?)

The duo played electric guitars to back up Steve Winwood's performance benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which strives to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Fox himself was diagnosed with the chronic illness in the early ‘90s.

Shortly before the performance, Jett's Twitter account shared, “60,000 new Parkinson’s cases will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone this year. Tonight Joan is at @MichaelJFoxOrg’s #FoxGala raising money for important research to help cure the disease.”

Jim Gaffigan, Willie Geist and John Mulaney took to the stage to perform comedy routines during the event. Attendees also included Katie Couric, Jennifer Grey, Clark Gregg and Fox’s Back to the Future co-star Christopher Lloyd.
