John Mellencamp Announces North American Tour & New 'Other People's Stuff' Album

John Mellencamp

John Mellencamp will release his 24th studio album Other People's Stuff on Dec. 7 via Republic Records.

“Most, if not all, of the songs on Other People’s Stuff come from The Great American Songbook," Mellencamp said in a statement. "These are songs that have been recorded over the last 40 years of my career, but had never been put together as one piece of work. Now, they have.”

With his extensive career comprised of albums, compilations, unearthed sessions and documentaries, Other People's Stuff is a collection of Mellencamp's greatest covers of prominent American songs, available for preorder here.

To celebrate, Mellencamp has also announced a 2019 North American tour, which will see a mixture of his original career-spanning songs as well as the cover tracks from his newest album. The John Mellencamp Show will kick off in South Bend, Ind., on Feb. 7 and wrap up in Albuquerque, N.M., on April 20. Tickets go on sale on Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. ET.

In the meantime, listen to his "Eyes on the Prize" single released appropriately for the upcoming Nov. 6 midterm elections, and check out the full list of tour dates below.
