Not many rock stars can say they've performed with the world's largest rock band, but Courtney Love can. Rockin'1000 -- an Italian amateur music group consisting of 1,500 members on guitars, drums and backing vocals -- recently performed the 1998 Hole hits "Celebrity Skin" and "Malibu" with Love at the mic and the results were, well, amazing.

The July 21 performance was part of a benefit concert, That's Live 2018. More than 20,000 people attended the concert, which supported San Patrignano, a community program for drug addiction rehabilitation and social integration.

Rockin'1000 began as a fan gathering in 2015, when 1,000 musicians gathered in a Cesena, Italy, park to play the Foo Fighters' "Learn to Fly." A video of that performance went viral and caught the attention of the Foos, who later traveled to Cesena for a concert. Now expanded to 1,500 members, Rockin'1000 has stayed active in music.

“The first time I saw the Rockin’1000 video, I thought, ‘I want to do that! The sight and sound of a thousand musicians connecting with their audience in this open, transcultural way was incredible," said Love on the website of event collaborator Only The Brave Foundation. "It reminded me of the early punk scene, with its community centered around diversity and acceptance. And after I learned about Rockin’1000’s and Only the Brave Foundation’s commitment to San Patrignano, a charity dedicated to fighting addiction and social exclusion, I knew I had to be a part of it.”

Rockin'1000 released a video of their "Celebrity Skin" performance with Love on Monday (Oct. 15).
