The Experience Hendrix Tour is returning in 2019 with 30 dates through March and April. The tour, a celebration of Jimi Hendrix's legacy and musical genius, brings together an interdisciplinary range of artists interpreting Hendrix's songs over a three-hour concert.

"The tour is more than a series of concerts," Experience Hendrix LLC CEO Janie Hendrix, Jimi's stepsister, said in a statement. “It's a celebration of a man whose amazing gift changed the face of music and informed an entire culture. His influences were varied and diverse. And this year we’re shining a light on that diversity with artists who represent it across cultures and who also share a love for Jimi and his music. It’s exciting to be able to honor Jimi’s enduring legacy in this way.”

Since its inception as a single tribute show at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, the tour has become an anticipated fan experience.

The performer roster includes Dave Mustaine, founder of Megadeath and former lead guitarist for Metallica; Joe Satriani, the best-selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time; Hendrix's bandmate Billy Cox; and more. The full lineup can be seen on the Experience Hendrix Tour website.

"Jimi Hendrix. The name that comes to my mind as one the 'Premiere American Guitarists of All Time.' An Innovator, and legendary musician, I am beyond honored to do my part in this tribute to the immortal Jimi Hendrix," Mustaine said in a statement.

"The Experience Hendrix Tours are always so much fun. The camaraderie between all the musicians on the show is magical," Satriani said in a statement. "I’m so excited to play some deep Hendrix tracks in a power trio setting with dUg Pinnick and Kenny Aronoff!"

The Experience Hendrix Tour kicks off in Pompano Beach, Fla., on March 3 and will run through April 6 when it finishes in Wallingford, Conn. Tickets on on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m.
