The tribute to Bob Ross features a barely-clothed Kyle Gass.

Most bands put out a lyric video, a song teaser or a track list to get fans hyped for a new album. Not Tenacious D; that basic biz is not for Jack Black and Kyle Gass. That might explain why the comedy rock duo are getting the word out about their upcoming Post-Apocalypto album with an homage to beloved mellow brush master Bob Ross.

The "How to Draw With Tenacious D" video features Black sporting Ross' signature tight afro, with Gass modeling nothing but a tiny man thong as Black mixes up the colors on his palette to perfectly capture his partner's "precociousness behind the eyes." Things rapidly get NSFW as Black focuses in very explicitly on Gass' Tenacious D, eventually abandoning the whole thing and just going for the straight plug.

The first episode of the six-part Post-Apocalypto animated YouTube series will debut on Friday (Sept. 28) on Tenacious D's YouTube page, with new episodes dropping every Friday. Each chapter will feature new music from the duo, leading up to the Nov. 2 release of an album of the same name, the pair's first full-length since 2012's Rize of the Fenix; songs from each episode available on all download services after that week's show airs. The album was produced by the band's longtime bassist John Spiker and it will feature contributions from longtime pal and Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl on drums.
