Alkaline Trio has released Is This Thing Cursed?, the group's long-awaited follow-up to its 2013 effort, My Shame is True, today (Aug. 31).

Released through Epitaph Records, the project serves as the Alkaline Trio's ninth studio album. The band previously described Is This Thing Cursed? as a "cousin or sibling" to its 2000 release, Maybe I'll Catch Fire.

Lead vocalist Matt Skiba, who is also now a member of blink-182, is featured heavily throughout the album. Both of the bands are set to perform at the Chicago music festival Riot Fest in September.

The 13-track album features lead single "Blackbird" as the second song on the record, and it spans 39 minutes in length.
