On Friday (Aug. 24) Gorillaz songwriter Damon Albarn confirmed that another Gorillaz album is currently in the works following the June release of The Now Now. During an interview with the Australian radio station Radio FM4, Albarn revealed that he's already working on more Gorillaz music.

"I have another one [Gorillaz record] as well, but I know I'm not gonna be allowed to even think about recording or putting it out this year," said Albarn. The Now Now followed quickly on the heels of the April 2017 release of the illustrated group's fifth album, Humanz.

The musician then added, "In October, after I play in America, I'll be starting The Good, The Bad, & The Queen again. I don't know. It's there. If I get the time, or if anyone want it, it's there." Albarn's supergroup -- which features former Clash bassist Paul Simonon, the Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Nigerian drummer Tony Allen, released their self-titled debut album in January 2007.
