Los Angeles indie musician Colleen Green has some new material in store for the vinyl reissue of her 2016 cassette EP via Infinity Cat Recordings, and she’s revealing a new track exclusively on Billboard.

On “I Wanna Be Ignored,” Green glams up her straightforward garage punk sound with a spacey, disco-hustle jam that pushes her into a completely new direction. Still packed with her signature lyrical slights and minimalist punch, the song builds on her proven skill of doing more with less.

Green offered some insight on the song’s development, telling Billboard, “‘I Wanna Be Ignored’ is a song about disillusionment that was written as background music for the Starburns Audio podcast Harmontown.”

The tune does more than serve as bumper music, as it coasts on a hypnotic loop for a minute-long prelude that diverges into a full-fledged psychedelia trip. It’s yet another surprise from Green, who is sure to be full of them when Casey's Tape / Harmontown Loops drops Sept. 7.

The EP features completely re-recorded tracks from Green’s 2016 cassette as well as four unreleased tracks including “Ignored” and the previously premiered “Let Go.” Pre-orders for the digital release and the exclusive lavender vinyl are available now here.
