Death Cab For Cutie Rock Out to 'Autumn Love' and More For 'Kimmel' Mini Concert: Watch
Death Cab for Cutie brought their signature mellow sound to the Jimmy Kimmel Live! stage on Wednesday (Aug. 15) for a special outdoor performance of new music from their upcoming album Thank You for Today.
Wearing a black pants and a graphic black "Save Our Showbox" t-shirt, Death Cab's lead singer Ben Gibbard kicked things off with a lush performance of the band's song "Autumn Love."
Gibbard's trademark melancholy vocals paired with the band's strumming acoustics, ringing electric leads, and bassist Nick Harmer's high-octave bass lines made for a flawless performance of the band's latest single.
Once the television cameras were turned off, the band went on to play a few more songs from their soon-to-be-released album, including "Your Hurricane" and "Summer Years." They ended the set with their 2003 single "The Sound of Settling" from their album Transatlanticism.
