Mac Demarco performs at St Jerome's Laneway Festival on Jan. 29, 2018 in Auckland, New Zealand.

During what proved to be an event full of collaborations, Mac DeMarco invited fellow slacker hero Post Malone onstage at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival to play the egg shaker during a cover of Kyu Sakamoto’s “Sukiyaki."

The current indie poster boy and his band carved out a portion of their set to perform a cover of  Sakamoto's 1961 staple. Right before the surfy guitar solo, the band welcomed Post onto the stage with a shaker in hand. The beerbongs & bentleys rapper went the extra mile for his guest appearance, dancing throughout the performance.

The collaboration comes only a few weeks before DeMarco departs on a tour that will continue to support his 2017 album, This Old Dog.

In addition to DeMarco and Malone's team-up, Vampire Weekend and Danielle Haim joined forces at Fuji Rock for a cover of Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back in Town."
