Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers perform at the Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 12, 2010 in Nashville, Tenn.

Tom Petty fans are being invited to submit their own photos and videos of the band to compose a new music video for a song off the upcoming career-spanning box set, An American Treasure.

Starting Friday (July 20), submissions can include a picture taken with Petty, a video moment from a show, or any creative photograph used as an expression of love for the band. Fans can submit footage to the An American Treasure project here

The upcoming 60-track Reprise Records release of An American Treasure will drop on Sept. 28, and include a number of unreleased recordings, alternate versions of classic songs, historic live performances and deep tracks. The box set will be the first Petty release since his passing in October 2017. It can be pre-ordered here.

Dana and Adria Petty, Tom's wife and daughter, respectively, are the catalysts and executive producers behind An American Treasure, and curated the box set along with Petty's bandmates of 45 years, Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench.

“Everyone involved in this project chose each track with tremendous care and deep respect for the body of work Tom Petty created over the course of 40 years," Adria and Dana Petty said of the project in a statement.

"He also accumulated a wealth of unreleased music in his vaults, and we have collectively uncovered one gem after another that will keep us all listening and discovering new facets of Tom’s talent for many years to come. We can’t wait to share with Tom’s fans this musical portrait of an artist who deeply affected our culture and indelibly touched the lives of fans the world over.”

Below, watch the music video for "Keep A Little Soul" -- the first song released from the set -- featuring rare, never-before-seen footage of the band.
