Canadian rock band Metric have officially announced their seventh studio album, set to drop September 21.

The yet-untitled album, mixed by Tony Hoffer, was recorded at Metric’s Giant Studio in Toronto, and the band couldn’t be more excited to share it with their fans. Metric also released the video for the album's debut single, “Dark Saturday,” on Tuesday (July 17). Directed by Justin Broadbent and shot on an iPhone X, the black-and-white visual depicts a series of the band's members adventures on -- what else? -- a dark Saturday night.

“This is our seventh album as a band and we wanted the first song people heard from it to be ‘Dark Saturday’ as a sonic heads up that our guitars are back in force,” stated frontwoman Emily Haines. “Lyrically, the song depicts a dystopian nightline scene of gaudy wealth where oblivious party girls say nauseating things like, ‘I’m so rich everything’s free.’”

The video for “Dark Saturday” is available below, and fans can pre-order Metric’s upcoming album -- their first full-length since 2015's Pagans in Vegas -- here.
