Young the Giant performs on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on July 12, 2018.

Indie rockers Young the Giant stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night (July 12) for an arresting performance of their new single, "Simplify."

Dressed in a variety of pastel shades, the band took the no-frills route for their performance, opting for no elaborate costumes or staging, just pure soaring guitar leads and vocalist Sameer Gadhi's sweltering falsetto. During the song's colossal chorus, the music swelled as Gadhi belted, "Leave it all behind, everything simplifies/ All we need is nothing more," the stage bathed in a wash of yellow light.

"Simplify," was released on June 14 and is the first single for the band's currently unnamed fourth album. Check out the performance below.
