The Smashing Pumpkins have released a music video for their new single, "Solara," and you might sleep with one eye open tonight after watching it.

The video, directed by Nick Koenig, features classic horror imagery. The visual finds lead singer Billy Corgan being held captive in a bizarre asylum where he receives dosages of trauma from an IV and watches other inmates play the game Connect Four with solely black pieces. He later wanders into a mime giving birth to an imaginary baby while being watched over by heavily armed mimes.

It gets stranger when Corgan escapes the asylum and walks through a seemingly normal and sunny suburb. On his walk, he encounters fathers walking their children on a leash, muscled guys sunbathing while covered in bugs, and a bunch of mimes and goths having a barbecue. In the end, Corgen chooses to return to the asylum instead of staying and discovering more about the world of the outside.

The Pumpkins' Shiny and Oh So Bright North American tour kicks off on July 12.
