The video follows the announcement that longtime guitarist Tomo Miličević has departed the group.

30 Seconds To Mars have released a visceral music video for their latest single “Rescue Me” on Tuesday (June 12). The video features a montage of conflicted figures, crying, screaming, dancing and overall rocking out against a black back drop while Jared Leto sings the chorus with passion.

“Rescue Me is a song about pain, a song about empowerment, a song about faith, and a song about freedom,” Leto said in a statement. “It’s also a song about the brutal war so many of us wage against fear, depression and anxiety in the hope that we might, one day, live a life filled with happiness and dreams.”

Earlier today, the band also announced the departure of longtime guitarist Tomo Miličević. “I want to say thank you to Jared and Shannon for allowing me the privilege to be a small part of their dream and to have been able to share the stage with them for so long,” the guitarist wrote.

The trio-turned-duo is currently in the throes of their massive Monolith tour, with their next date set for tonight at the Energy Music Theatre in Detroit.
