Interpol performs on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on June 8, 2018.

Hot on the heels of announcements for both an album and a slate of international tour dates, Interpol officially christened the first single off their forthcoming Marauder on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday (June 8).

All of the elements of a typical, deafening Interpol performance were present and accounted for as they played through "The Rover," right on down to the washes of red lights, the snappy suits and insistent guitar line that's embedded in your brain after the first few measures.

Marauder, Interpol's sixth album, is set for an Aug. 24 release through Matador Records; they'll kick off the tour in support of the LP on June 25 at Austria's Arena Wien Open Air and eventually make their way back to the States to celebrate the release of the album on its drop day at Brooklyn's House of Vans.
