The Kills delivered a rousing ode to requests during their performance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (May 22). The British-American duo performed their latest single "List of Demands (Reparations)," an intense, anthemic reimagination of the bustling rap-rock 2004 tune originally famed by rapper/poet Saul Williams.

Lead singer Alison Mosshart powerfully belted out her soulful vocals as she headbanged, kicked and strutted along to the song's driving snare hits and siren-like guitars. Although the indie rockers kept their stage setup simple, their delivery was full of captivating passion, demonstrating their unique ability to transform a cover into what sounds like a startling original.

The Kills' version of "List of Demands (Reparations)" precedes their yet-to-be-announced sixth studio album.
