James Bay Gives Electric Performances of 'Pink Lemonade' and 'Us' On 'Late Night With Seth Meyers'
James Bay took the stage last night (April 11) at Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform his two new singles "Pink Lemonade," and "Us." Sporting a brand new haircut with fitted black jeans and a striped silk shirt, the Grammy-nominated rocker opened up with a hard-hitting performance of his guitar-heavy new track "Pink Lemonade." Shrouded in blue lights, Bay appeared calm and collected as he strummed his jet black guitar, giving an occasional hair flip as he walked confidently around the stage.
His follow-up performance of "Us" was more reminiscent in sound of 2014's Chaos and The Calm, with Bay swapping his electric guitar for an acoustic one fitted comfortably to his hip. "Tell me how to be in this world, tell me how to breath in and feel no hurt," Bay sings passionately.
The singer recently dropped the grainy video for "Pink Lemonade." In the video, Bay performs the rocking song on an old school Ed Sullivan Show type of platform, and is reminiscent of the 1970's in both aesthetic and wardrobe. As he did on Seth Meyers, Bay followed up "Pink Lemonade" with an acoustic video for "Us." Both tracks are from Bay's highly anticipated sophomore album, Electric Light, which is due May 18.
