Jimmy Buffett is bidding farewell to the days wasted away in Margaritaville, searching for his lost shaker of salt.

The singer revealed to The New York Times Thursday (Feb. 8) that he’s been following a strict diet recently: “No sugar and no carbs. Except on Sunday.” He also stopped smoking weed and instead opts for vape oils sometimes after working.

While he may no longer be sipping on sugary margarita cocktails, Buffett has yet to give up tequila. His drink of choice is tequila on the rocks and “a lot of water.”

The full profile is available on the NYT website, and covers everything in Buffett’s life from his extensive career—including writing for Billboard after graduating college—to his time spent at the mall when he has a day off.
