Hear Hovvdy's Laid-Back New Track 'In the Sun'

Texas natives Hovvdy have just dropped the latest single off of their sophomore album. “In The Sun” is a soft track that features a sense of familiarity -- a “sunny synth” over acoustic guitars and echo-laden lyrics.

The song itself was inspired by sun-drenched days spent at home, with Will Taylor (one half of the duo, along with Charlie Martin) describing the song as "a song about falling into sync with someone and staying home a lot... about how things feel more real in the sunshine.”

Taylor says the track came together quickly, with Ben Littlejohn adding the bass, and Martin adding the synth.

Hovvdy’s second album, Cranberry, is due out on Double Double Whammy on Feb 9. Check out the new single below.
