Waterparks Share Christmas-Themed Video for New Song 'Lucky People': Premiere

The trio's sophomore LP features production from Good Charlotte's Benji Madden.

Newschool pop-punkers Waterparks are wasting little time in following up their promising debut album Double Dare, which just turned a year old last month. The Texas trio’s follow-up LP Entertainment is due Jan. 26 on Equal Vision Records, and today, they’re getting in the holiday spirit with their latest music video from the new set.

In the clip for the brand new acoustic ditty “Lucky People,” frontman Awsten Knight wraps himself in blinking Christmas lights and sends out a catchy love letter to the one he’s missing. It was filmed in Boston while Waterparks was on the road for its Made in America U.S. tour, which wrapped last week.

To put “Lucky People” in its proper context, Knight dropped this line to Billboard: “This is the most happy Jason Mraz-ass song you ever saw.”

The album was produced by Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden and Courtney Ballard. It’s available for pre-order here. Check out the band’s upcoming tour dates below.
