You may not know what exactly what's going down on the Twin Peaks reboot from week to week, but on Sunday night (Aug. 27) one thing was clear: Eddie Vedder was finally in the mix at the Roadhouse. The Pearl Jam singer made his long-awaited cameo in the star-studded reboot from David Lynch when Vedder -- credited by his birth name, Edward Louis Severson III -- busted out his acoustic guitar and fedora to sing the ballad "Out of Sand," which he composed for the show.

Check out live and studio versions of the song in the 7-minute clip below, featuring the moving refrain "Now it's gone/ And I am who I am/ Who I was I will never be again/ Running out of sand."

Vedder joined a venerable list of rock cameos in this season, which have also included Nine Inch Nails as well as a moving cameo from late icon David Bowie. Vedder debuted "Out of Sand" at the Ohana Festival in California last year but the song has not yet been officially released.
