A murder most foul appears to be at the center of the video for The Killers' "Run For Cover." But whose murder? That's the hard question to figure out in the twisty noir-ish clip directed by Tarik Mikou for the song from the band's upcoming Wonderful Wonderful album.

The clip opens with the band in moody silhouette and a woman in a green slip dress walking out of fog-shrouded woods in slow motion, then quickly cuts to the same woman running frantically down a road and black and white footage of her fighting with a lover. From there, the action bounces between better times (in black and white) and the seeming aftermath (color), culminating in the heroine going out in a blaze of glory after getting hit by the car chasing her as she tries to hold on to a cassette that reads "07/28/17," which happens to be the song's release date.

"Run For Cover" is the second song The Killers have released from their forthcoming album Wonderful Wonderful, due Sept. 22.

Earlier this week the band released a new video for "The Man" as a promotion for Saturday's (Aug. 26) endlessly hyped boxing batch between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor.
