Metallica and Billy Eichner during Apple Carpool Karaoke.

James Corden might be out of the picture in the second episode of Apple Music's Carpool Karaoke: The Series, but Billy on the Street star Billy Eichner does plenty of comedic heavy lifting entertaining the men of Metallica during this joyride. The second edition of the online-only series spin-off from the popular Late Late Show skit debuts at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Tuesday (Aug. 15) and in an exclusive preview on Billboard we get to watch Eichner try to make James, Lars, Kirk and Robert crack a smile while playing a hard-rocking version of "Never Have I Ever" re-named "Metal Have I Ever."

In this game, instead of holding up five fingers, the fellas have to hold up metal fingers, so no problem. "Metal have I ever listened to Paula Cole to unwind," Eichner asks to a car full of blank stares. "Who's Paula Cole" asks a confused Lars Ulrich as it dawns on the irritated comedian that his fellow carpoolers have never seen Dawson's Creek.

Their answer to "metal have I ever sent a d--k pic" will really surprise you, though.

Talking about his experience with Corden on Monday night's (Aug. 14) Late Late Show, Eichner, said, "this was the best day ever. I was very nervous about it because it's Metallica. We don't have a lot of overlap in life, me and Metallica... I grew up watching them on MTV. But when you meet them they're still rock stars for sure, but they're also dads... we had the greatest time."
