The clip is cut from footage of wild days in the lives of the band, its friends and fans.

Australian trio Chase Atlantic are living it up in their video for “Keep It Up” and, as the band describes it, it’s all pretty true-to-life.

With footage collected from the band, friends and some complete strangers, the video presents the kind of wild day that the song inspires. The various sources are compiled into a coherent portrait of everyday life by director Drew Kirsch (AFI, Quinn XCII), who also made a crucial suggestion at the beginning of production.

“We started working with [director] Drew and instantly fell in love with the idea of incorporating real people with real life stories,” the band tells Billboard. “We asked them to provide raw expression and sincerity for the footage and the results were amazing.”

Despite the many subjects, the band is still front and center performing amateur parkour, scrapping and jamming in 100-degree weather. As a true testament to a band that suffers for its art, multi-instrumentalist Christian Anthony almost passed out from asthma attack after the many takes of running that work as a through line in the video.

In the end it was all worth it as Chase Atlantic shows how to truly keep things moving in these summer days.

“Keep It Up” comes off the band’s Part Three EP from July via Warner Bros. Records, their third EP released in 2017. The set also includes the collab track “No Friends” with iLoveMakonnen and K CAMP.
