Watch Linkin Park Tourmate Machine Gun Kelly Honor Chester Bennington With 'Numb' Cover

Machine Gun Kelly paid tribute to Linkin Park's late Chester Bennington, who recently committed suicide at age 41, with a stripped-down cover of the band's hit "Numb."

The video, posted to the Cleveland rapper's YouTube account on Friday, comes on what would have been the second day of Linkin Park's One More Light World Tour. Machine Gun Kelly (a.k.a. Colson Baker) was set to open for the band's summer dates before the tour was canceled in the wake of Bennington's death. The video caption reads: "Forever a fan. Rest peacefully Chester."

Bennington was found dead on July 20 and was laid to rest in a private ceremony on Saturday in Palos Verdes, California. "Music will never be the same without u," Kelly tweeted as the initial news spread of Bennington's tragic death, later promising a cover of "Numb."

"Numb" climbed to No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it dropped in 2004, making it Linkin Park's fourth highest-charting single. Watch Kelly offer a raw, emotional cover of the rock hit, below:
