Linkin Park Share New 'Talking to Myself' Video Just Before News of Chester Bennington's Death

The song was written from his wife's point of view as she watched him battle his personal demons.

Before Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington was found dead on Thursday (June 20) from apparent suicide, the band had released a new music video for the deeply personal One More Light track "Talking to Myself."

The Mark Fiore-edited and -directed clip follows Linkin Park on tour through Europe and serves as a particularly moving memento now following Bennington's passing. Bennington is featured prominently throughout the video, be it hanging out backstage or performing the song before packed stadiums.

Appropriately, "Talking to Myself" was written by Bennington from his wife Talinda Bentley's point of view as she watched him battle his personal demons.

"I admit I made mistakes/ But yours might cost you everything/ Can't you hear me calling you home?" he sings on the track.

Bennington had spoken openly about his struggles with drug and alcohol addictions at various times during his life, as well as about being molested by an older man when he was a child. The musician is survived by Bentley and six children.
