These two need to get into a ring for a celebrity boxing match. After Nickelback's Chad Kroeger took some hard shots at Slipknot's Corey Taylor, referring to his side project Stone Sour as "Nickelback Lite" and dissing the masked singer's songwriting skills, among other things, Taylor has smacked back.

"I've never said it was easy to write a hit song, I don't know what the hell planet he lives on," Taylor told 98 KUPD during an in-studio visit, in response to Kroeger's claim that Taylor said writing hits is no big deal. "Apparently it's Planet Kroeger. There must be good weed there because he's an idiot."

Taylor said he was gassed up to go off on Kroeger during the interview, but after reading the comments on the Nickelback singer's original diss-fest, he demurred because "he is not a liked person." But, given a hypothetical face-to-face meeting scenario with Kroeger, Taylor said he knew exactly what he'd say.

"You can run your mouth all you want. All I know is I’ve been voted ‘Sexiest Dude In Rock’ wearing a mask. You’ve been voted ‘Ugliest Dude In Rock’ twice without one. Stick that up your ass," he said, noting that he's very friendly with the other 'Backers, but just can't deal with "face like a foot... dude, curl up in bed with your Hello Kitty pillow and shut up."
