How many years 'til 'Death of a Bachelor: The Musical'?

Brendon Urie is headed to Broadway.

The frontman of the rock band Panic! At The Disco is set to star in Kinky Boots. He will play Charlie Price at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre from May 26 through Aug. 6, opposite J. Harrison Ghee as Lola and Taylor Louderman as Lauren.

“I’m thrilled to be making my Broadway debut with this fantastic company,” said Urie in a statement. “I’m a huge fan of Kinky Boots and musical theatre, and am honored to be joining the cast.”

Urie rotates into Kinky Boots show just after its four-year anniversary on Broadway. The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, the Jerry Mitchell-directed production features a score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. It tells the uplifting tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family’s struggling shoe factory who finds inspiration in Lola.

Urie is set to wrap a headlining tour behind Panic!'s Billboard 200-topping 2016 album Death of a Bachelor on April 15.
