Skillet’s song “Back From the Dead,” from the band's 2016 album Unleashed, is being featured in a trailer for Marvel Comic’s Monsters Unleashed! comic book series.

The five-issue run of crossover comics features a storyline where an army of classic Marvel heroes, including the X-Men and the Avengers, are forced to unite so they can battle a slew of Marvel monsters that are attacking Earth. The first issue, published Jan. 18, pits the heroes against an invasion of creatures called Leviathons. Four issues in the series are currently available.

Marvel Comics editor in chief Axel Alonso tells Billboard, “Monsters Unleashed! is what Marvel does best: a gigantic, bombastic battle for the fate of the world. With its kinetic, hard-hitting sound, Skillet's ‘Back from the Dead’ is the perfect accompaniment for a story that pits the world’s biggest superheroes against skyscraper-size monsters.”

Billboard has the clip, which is styled as an emergency news broadcast from San Diego reporting on the Leviathon invasion. Watch it below:

Skillet singer-bassist John Cooper calls the band’s involvement in the trailer “an amazing opportunity.”

“Marvel has been one of the defining things in my life ever since I was 4 years old when Spider-Man became my hero,” says Cooper. “A world where even a nobody like Peter Parker can become someone, stand up for what is right and no matter how evil the world becomes, you know that good will overcome. Being involved with Marvel is truly one of the best moments of Skillet’s career.”

Skillet’s Unleashed debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts, as well as No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 58,000, according to Nielsen Music. It has earned 228,000 equivalent album units through March 2, of which 170,000 are pure album sales. “Back From the Dead” peaked at No. 16 on the Mainstream Rock chart and at No. 2 on Christian/Gospel Digital Song Sales, Christian Digital Song Sales and Hard Rock Digital Song Sales charts. The single has sold 21,000 downloads and has collected 8.3 million on-demand streams in the United States.
