Chris Martin celebrated his 40th birthday in style over the weekend with a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory-themed party that featured giant toadstools and lollipops set up in his backyard and guests that reportedly included Jay Z and Beyonce, Orlando Bloom and Muse singer Matt Bellamy. The Coldplay singer sent out Wonka-themed invites to the Friday night party, which also featured a giant sign at the entrance that read "Pure Imagination," the title of the Wonka track that Coldplay covered last year following the death of the classic children's film's star, Gene Wilder.

Martin's ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow was there, and she posted pics of the couple with their two children with the message, "HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY to the best daddy in the world!!! We love you so much!" Also partying with Martin at the bash, according to Us Magazine were actors Rob Lowe, Robert Downey Jr., Julia Roberts, Aaron Paul and Javier Bardem and late night host James Corden.
