Marvel Comics is introducing their latest Marvel Super Hero event and new comic book series Monsters Unleashed with some help from The Black Keys.

The legendary brand has debuted the comic with a video series containing animation, narration and commentary about what to expect. Marvel worked alongside Pat Carney of The Black Keys for the newest Marvel Music Spotlight Video, featuring their Rubber Factory track “Just Couldn’t Tie Me Down.”

“As a kid, my friends and I kept searching for something that felt like we were taking part in a whole different society that actually existed and all that was sub-culture stuff,” said Carney in a statement. “I think, traditionally, comics and music, that’s how you can tap into that.”

The clip offers glimpses of the breaking story of monsters coming to earth and Marvel heroes preparing for battle, as the track plays in the background like the build up for any great superhero movie. For Monsters Unleashed, Marvel promises “some of its iconic heroes taking on one of their most monumental challenges.”

In previous Spotlight videos Marvel highlighted modern hip-hop and female-fronted musical acts for Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Black Panther and Margaret Stohl’s The Mighty Captain Marvel.
