Cage the Elephant released the engrossing music video for “Cold Cold Cold” -- directed by lead singer Matt Shultz -- off of their 2015 album, Tell Me I’m Pretty, which peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard 200.

A visually entrancing delirium, the video rings clearly of a fresh take on A Clockwork Orange -- a classic that’s been reimagined countless times, such as in American Horror Story: Asylum -- includes scenes of a straightjacketed man experiencing harrowing acts involving drugs, bouncing pectorals, masks, and decapitation.

According to Rolling Stone, Shultz said of the video's themes, "I think we're all very prone to subscribe to a safe, surface level pursuit of happiness, keeping our adversities out of sight out of mind, in a way," said Shultz. “We try to fix ourselves to fit into the social norm, and it is so easy to forget that in one way or another, the broken-hearted are the beautiful ones."
