2016 has been a wild ride for Twenty One Pilots. Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun started off the year as a theater-playing act mostly unknown to the mainstream and ended it as arena headliners with a trio of top-five Hot 100 hits. This Thanksgiving weekend, they’ll cap off the year with a vinyl-only live album recorded last month on their Emotional Roadshow world tour.
Blurryface Live comes from their Oct. 18 concert at Oakland’s Fox Theater. So far, no non-vinyl formats -- digital, CD, etc. -- have been announced; this one appears to be strictly for the record-buyers. And it’s no ordinary vinyl. Each LP is a black and red picture disc, featuring images of the duo in action. Nov. 25 is listed as the official release date.
