Coldplay Announces 2017 North American Tour Dates

Coldplay would like you to mark your calendar early. On Friday (Oct. 7) Chris Martin and company announced a bunch of U.S. and Canadian dates for their ongoing Head Full of Dreams Tour, including some for October… 2017.

After hitting North America this summer, Coldplay will return next year, beginning with the New York market Aug. 1 at MetLife Stadium. The 18-date trek -- which features both stadiums and arenas -- wraps Oct. 8 in San Diego, which, is over one year from now, 366 days to be exact. The new tour leg also includes Coldplay’s first Canadian concerts in five years.

The new dates are preceded by a slew of previously-announced worldwide dates, including shows for Australia and New Zealand later this year and a European run just before hitting North America next summer. The Head Full of Dreams Tour is in support of the album of the same name, which dropped last December.
