Ever wonder what it would be like to shop for gear with none other than iconic indie rockers Radiohead? Well, one lucky fan/lover of vintage synths was fortunate enough to have that experience this past weekend.

While Radiohead were in Austin for their headlining set at Austin City Limits, the band made time to stop by Switched On, a music electronics store that specializes in vintage synths. As they walked in, a fan just so happened to be browsing through the store as well -- so naturally, they joined forces and had an experience to remember.

The fan took to Reddit to share his nearly unbelievable story with others, which can be read in full here. In the blatantly titled post -- "I shopped for modular synths with Thom Yorke today" -- the fan, who goes by the username of LetTheDeedShaw, told readers up front that he is "an avid modular synth builder/user" and acknowledged, "It's a pretty niche hobby to say the least."

The rest of the post gives a play-by-play of how it all panned out. By the time readers reach the end, it's safe to say the niche hobby of building modular synths may become a whole lot more mainstream.
