Green Day kicked off the first date of their tour in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday night (Sept. 26) by blasting out the first two singles from their upcoming album Revolution Radio (Oct. 7). The veteran punk trio played album's title track and "Bang Bang" for the 1,700-capacity crowd at Newport Music Hall before dropping into a 23-song set that leaned heavily on such classics as "Know Your Enemy," "Holiday," "Longview," "Welcome to Paradise," "Hitchin' a Ride," "When I Come Around," "Basket Case" and "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)."

According to a set list and video posted by YouTube fan site Green Day Source, the show also featured a blitz medley of the Isley Brothers' "Shout," the Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and the Beatles' "Hey Jude."

The band also rescheduled a trio of North American dates they were forced to postpone last week due to an illness in the band and its crew. The dates in Chicago (Oct. 23), Detroit (Oct. 24) and St. Louis (Oct. 24) will not take place near the end of next month.
