Gene Simmons' Son Calls Him the 'Donald Trump of Rock'

These days Gene Simmons is nearly as well known for running his mouth as he is for being Kiss' founding bassist. Now imagine the big mouthed contrarian being your father.

Simmons' son, Nick Simmons, for one is not so pleased his his father's panache for often offensive statements. Speaking with TMZ, he likened his old man to another famously controversial personality -- Donald Trump. 

"He's the f---ing Donald Trump of rock. I can't take it anymore," said the younger Simmons of his father.

Gene Simmons Apologizes for Comments About Prince's Death

The statement comes after Gene Simmons said on Monday that it's time for America to embrace police profiling as a means to prevent terrorist attacks. 

Meanwhile, Nick Simmons made it clear that he does not endorse his father's beliefs but did attempt to explain the Hall of Fame rocker's perspective and why he feels that way.
