While you were worrying about what he was tweeting or who he was dating, John Mayer was not-so-quietly amassing the most versatile resume in rock. In fact, over the past five years, since recovering from vocal cord surgery, the Grammy-winning guitarist has completed one of the most epic, eclectic runs of any artist in the modern rock era. From jamming with the Dead to collaborating with ex Katy Perry, backing Frank Ocean, releasing his own brand of eco-friendly laundry detergent and sitting in with the 2016 Emmy Awards house band, Mayer is living the dream.
