Rock and Roll Hall of Famers the Pretenders are delivering a new album this fall, their first since 2008. It’s called Alone and it’s due Oct. 21 via BMG.

Frontwoman Chrissie Hynde recorded the new album with Black Keys guitarist-vocalist Dan Auerbach, who’s logged session and production work in recent years for artists ranging from Cage the Elephant to A$AP Rocky to Lana Del Rey. The Alone sessions also featured bassist Dave Roe, guitarist Kenny Vaughan, pedal steel guitarist Russ Pahl, keyboardist Leon Michels and drummer Richard Swift. Aside from Hynde, no past members of the Pretenders are listed as contributors to Alone

They’ve also shared “Holy Commotion,” the first sampling from the new album. The song trades Auerbach's classic modern blues sound for a more new wave vibe, pushed along by bubbling synths and a bouncy beat. Check it out below:

The current version of the Pretenders are set to tour alongside Stevie Nicks this fall, beginning Oct. 25 in Phoenix. Find those dates here. For Hynde, Alone follows her 2015 memoir Reckless: My Life As a Pretender and her 2014 solo album, Stockholm
