Fred Armisen and Bill Hader's mockumentary-style TV show Documentary Now! returns to IFC for its second season this fall and one episode will feature a comedic take on the seminal 1984 Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense

The episode, titled "Test Pattern," will spotlight a band by the same name as it performs its final concert. It will guest star Maya Rudolph and include songs written by Armisen.

By now Armisen's musical prowess is well known, be it from last season's Documentary Now! episode about his fake soft rock band the Blue Jean Committee, leading the Late Night with Seth Meyers house band, or just jamming in concert with Blur, Sleater-Kinney and others.

Stop Making Sense is widely regarded as one of the greatest concert films of all time. Directed by Jonathan Demme, it was shot over the course of three nights' performances by the Talking Heads at the Hollywood's Pantages Theater in December 1983.

Documentary Now! will be live taping the "Test Pattern" episode at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse in San Gabriel, California, on July 7. The event will be hosted by writer and comedian John Mulaney and 1980s attire is "encouraged." RSVP and find more information on Facebook
