Barnett, who was nominated for best new artist at this year’s Grammy Awards, helped close out season 41 of SNL by rocking out to her songs "Nobody Really Cares If You Don't Go to the Party" and "Pedestrian at Best.” Watch below.

Barnett is still doing victory laps behind her first album, and told Billboard at April’s Coachella that she’s been tinkering with new music ideas. “I’ve been writing short stories over the last couple years which are a bit more fictitious,” she said. “Some of them have been turning into songs.”

Saturday Night Live will return with new episodes in the fall.
