The Darkness

If you’re finding the falsetto-driven chorus of the Darkness’ 2003 hit “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” strangely stuck in your head lately, you’ve probably got Taylor Swift to thank.

T-Swift rocks out and lip-syncs to the pop-metal track in a new ad for Apple Music. And guess what? The British rockers think she’s got that style

"I didn't think we could get any sexier, but somehow Taylor raised the bar!" frontman Justin Hawkins tells Billboard in an exclusive quote. Apparently, Swift is an old fan.

"Taylor Swift used to come to a lot of our shows back in the day. It's good to see she hasn't given up on her roots! Take it to the bridge, Swiftmeisteress!"

Previously, Swift rocked out to Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle” in an Apple ad, helping the 2001 song to reenter Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart at No. 16 for the week of May 7. Will the Swift support give the Darkness a similar bump? Stay tuned.
