The Shelters

Los Angeles-based rockers The Shelters -- Sebastian Harris, Josh Jove, Jacob Pillot, and Chase Simpson -- formed in 2014 with the goal of bringing something new to the L.A. rock scene. Tom Petty caught them performing by chance and gave them the keys to his home studio; The Shelters successfully rose to his challenge, impressing him enough for Jove and Simpson to contribute to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' Hypnotic Eye. Two years and a Tom Petty co-produced EP later, they're finally debuting their full-length, self-titled album on June 10. Lead single "Rebel Heart" is a jangly, buoyant, foot-tapping tune blending classic influences with their modern swagger, and the music video premiere is right here on Billboard.

"In the video for 'Rebel Heart,' we wanted to highlight the rock and roll energy we feed off of in our live show," says singer and guitarist Josh Jove of the clips directed by Petty's daughter Adria Petty and Stash Silonski. "With the lights, the heat, the girls and the beat, we hope the video offers a surreal glimpse into that world."

Catch The Shelters on tour this May and June with Petty's band Mudcrutch.
