Steve Aoki is best known as a world famous DJ, but don’t forget about his alternative rock credentials. Aoki founded the label that released Bloc Party’s debut EP and has collaborated with Travis Barker on his own solo material.

For his next album, Aoki has enlisted the help of Barker, along with a couple other pop-punk kids: Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus and producer/Goldfinger frontman John Feldmann. 5 Seconds of Summer bassist Calum Hood was also in the studio, and he hit it off with Aoki and the gang.

The Dim Mak Records leader shared the following photos via his personal Twitter account on March 22 and 21:

A representative for Aoki clarifies that neither Hood nor 5 Seconds of Summer is appearing on his album, however.

So far, Aoki has not shared a release date or official track listing for Neon Future III (Neon Future II dropped in May 2015). He has, however, confirmed other guests, like former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way

Just how many Warped Tour alumni will appear on the new Aoki album? Stay tuned!
